In the moive Brokeback Mountain who do you think was the 'man' in the relationship?

During the movie my friend and I were debating on who were the 'man' and the 'woman' in the situation. I'm pretty sure that Ennis(man) topped and Jack(woman) bottomed, but my friend thinks its the other way around. What do you think?
