I have called my mom names. I have chastised her and she has done the same to me. But I went too far last month when I said a derogatory, sexual remark towards her. My elderly Dad lives by himself and cherishes the pets he has but they have created a bad situation. He had adopted my brothers kids one of who left a cat in a room plus mountains of clothes. Then on top of that there was flooding so he brought in outside cats to keep them safe and they were in the room for about a month. Now there is an unbelievable amount of fleas. He is on a fixed income. I am trying my best to kill them but it is hard to be in the room. Two minutes and you are covered in fleas. I have bombed, spread sevin garden dust and bombed again but with the mess of clothes I am sure they hide. But in order to be able to throw away the clothes the fleas need to be killed out some. please any ideas???? I know this sounds awful, but it is serious.

Is it to late for someone like me to try to become a professional snowboarder?

I am 17 and live in south Texas and I can only go snowboarding a few times a year if I go with friends which is a total of around 10-20 days a year. I have been skiing since i was about 3. I started snowboarding around the age of 15 because it looked like so much fun and seemed like an awesome challenge for me to try and get good at snowboarding. I am a decent rider and my parents approve and say I should go for it. I am even planning on going to college somewhere where it snows and has good mountains. Is it to late for me? What is cure for Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)?

This may seem weird, but I use a heating pad on my legs at night when I got to bed. I drive my husband crazy with moving my legs around so much...and when I use the heating pad, it calms my legs down almost completely. Her name is Dazie and she is a labrador retriever. When we first got her as a puppy she was an outside dog. but about two years ago we brought her inside because she got heartworms. So sorry you are dealing with this. I have this at times and it is absolutely miserable!! Mine seems to act up when my iron is low, so I take iron pills, and it seems that they help. Ask your doctor and pharmacist for a recommendation of iron pills, since the slower dissolving ones won't make you as nauseaus. Also, what I do when they act up is...we have a back massager, and I lay my legs on the massaging part and basically massage my legs for about 20 minutes at least, surprisingly this works well, sometimes I do it automatically before I even go to bed...as long as you don't have problem with blood clots, that treatment should be okay. i am a massage therapist and have recently found myself working on a client with restless leg syndrome, and he has had complications of renal dysfunction in the past. when he comes in i work a little bit of deep tissue on his back and shoulders and then use usui ryodo reiki to bring his body back into a balance. there dont seem to be any contraindications in his case, as i avoid the kidney area when doing my dt work on his back, but he winds up with uncontrollable tremors and jittering for up to two hours afterward. im relatively new but iv worked on rls before and have never seen anything like this. does anybody have any feedback? i dont want to harm this client, but nobody else he has seen has been able to make the kind of progress that he has been after. (and to the naysayers out there, i was referred this client by a urologist)

I made a minecraft server a while ago and i have a flat map (which i want). The map has no mountains or hills or bodies of water which is great for my need. Only thing is there are no ores underground so nobody can go mining. All you have is dirt and eventually bedrock. hard to believe at 132 that you need to lose much weight, but anyways it's your choice. And anything that gets your heart pumping faster, anything that makes you move and sweat will help you lose weight. Honestly you wont be able to get up at 5am to jog for an hour, then 45 minute sprint, then elipticle for 45min, jump rope for 30min , and punching bag 30 min, thats like a professional athletes cardio lol(not really but wtv) unless you have VERY VERY good cardiovascular indurance you wont be able to, i'd say youd be alright with 1hr in total, since your still young and you dont wanna use up all ur time on that.. have a good summer, and remember to have fun!

I have really bad restless leg syndrome?

RLS is really hard to explain. But it's like you have electric surges going through your legs and you have to move them or you'll go crazy. It's the worst feeling ever. It always comes when I'm trying to sleep. I'm a 14 year old girl, and I don't know what to do to treat it. My 13 Week old Shiba puppy is peeing on floor?

Before I even start asking the question let me state that my puppy has been using his wee wee pad tray successfully for almost a 3 weeks now without any accidents.he practically potty trained himself. I was very pleased with his behavior but since yesterday he has developed an odd behavior.every time he needs to pee/poop he will go to his tray and step on it with his front paw ( in any direction) and then he would deliberately pee /poop on the floor. Right next to his tray ( the very edge) its very strange cuz he is going to the tray then he sniffs it like then he position himself on the very edge and while his front paws ares till on the tray he would pee/poop on the edge on the floor. I even tried saying NO!!! and cleaning it right away, and trying to put him on tray. Yet he continues to do so, it is very strange cuz he never did it before he always went on the pad even if it was soiled, and now I change his pads quickly because I thought he may not wanna use it even after only peeing on it once, yet he continues to pee/poop on the floor while standing on the tray, it's really frustrating, what to do?? I really want to change this behavior without any strict punishment because after all he is a puppy even if I scold him he wont understand it. Advice please!

It's been awhile since I've read the book so I can't help with your first question but, if I remember correctly, Simon doesn't exactly go anywhere. Hear me out. Simon is the only morally good character. The other boys abandon the appearance of morality when they get to the island because adults and social conditioning are no longer there to force them to behave properly. Simon is truly moral because his moments of morality do not stem from social conditioning but from the belief that morality is valuable. He is also the first to realize that the "beast" they see on the island is not real but a symbol of the immorality that lurks in humans. Whether or not he is the first to see the beast I can't remember but he is the first to see it for what it truly is. His moral nature sets Simon apart from the others and they eventually murder him. So I guess you could say that Simon does "go" somewhere as in spiritually off the island but it's not like he just walked away and found some good hiding place.

Of those two the D5100 is what I would get.....but neither are what you would call professional. That's not saying they're no good, I think both are really good cameras. Why are my teeth so stained?!?

Okay, so this saturday i'm going out with a guy and need to get my teeth super white. Most of the time during summer i'm rushing to get in bed cause i'm exhausted so i just wash my face with acne cleanser and brush my teeth with a Reach toothbrush (forgot the brand, sorry). Throughout the school year i would use Listerine Whitening (the before rinse) and my teeth would come out really white. So now, where i'm going out saturday, i've been giving my teeth at least a good 12 minutes before jumping into and right after i get out of bed. I use Listerine Whitening Rinse, brush my teeth with my Reach brush (that also has whitening) and use Crest Extra Whitening toothpaste, and then use Crest Whitening Rinse (for the after) and it still doesn't come out white (and i've been keeping this up for a week, so i should've already seen some improvement. That's the way it always is during the school year)! I never drink coffee and the only type of soda i usually drink is Mountain Dew. I've also been drinking a lot of lemonade lately, could that be a problem? How can i get them white again? Thanks xoxo

Okay. This is about my mom. I shouldn't put this out here but I need to know what illness this is. We tried the doctors but nada, they just tell us "Mental illness". My four year old was being naughty and crouched on the ground in the store I bent over to scold her and she decided to pop up as I was leaning over. Classic cat question - how to deal with cat peeing outside litter box (most likely from stress) in a new home?

Moved into a new home, cats (we have 2 brothers) have started peeing in unusual areas (behind the TV, etc). Surprise. But my mother is totally taken aback by what is, unfortunately, very normal and classic cat behavior in response to a new home, a new pet, a new baby, etc etc. And of course, she's angry. In my opinion, this is just part of being a cat owner, but for her it's not acceptable, and if it doesn't stop fast enough for her... I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done other than scolding the cat if we catch him in the act, and putting him in his litter box. House breaking an apartment puppy?

I live on the 1st floor of a block with a green directly outside. It takes about 3 minutes to walk there. My french bulldog pup is 14 weeks old, I begun training him from 7 weeks on wee pads then when he had all his shots at 12 weeks to go outside. I take him out every hour and he is very good about doing his business. We are having few accidents in the flat as I take him out so regularly. When he does accident in the flat I scold him (but never hit). What I want to know is when will he will be able to communicate to me(by going to the front door) that he needs to go to the toilet. i think the best thing for you to do is to sit your friend down and in a very civilised manner let her know how you feel about her speaking to children and for that matter your child specifically like that. let her know she may speak to hers how she pleases but you believe in speaking to children with as much respect as you do an adult. let her know that you are not judging her or trying to say she is a bad parent in no way shape or form and you understand that it may be stressful for her to be raising her 4 children but that is no excuse for speaking to them in that way. let her know that you will not be letting her watch your child anymore and you hope that your decision does not affect or come in between your friendship its just that you feel as a parent that this is the right thing to do. i mean obviously if she speaks to your child in this manner when you are around imagine what she says or does when you are not. I know what you are going through, there were many times when i was extremely upset at my parents and felt the same way, my brother is smarter than me and it seems like he can do no wrong. My mom likes my big brother more then me..?

HOLY CRAP! Same thing happens with me, except it's when my brother teases me. Even though he's just messing around, my mom doesn't do much, but when I'm the one doing the teasing, she gets on my case in a flash: "Don't touch my baby!" "Leave my baby boy alone!" I'm 14 and my brother is 17. When stuff like this happens I just shake it off. Listening to my iPod and taking a little nap always helps, even though this doesn't really happen to me anymore. I have all of the symptoms for insomnia, narcolepsy, RLS, circadian rhythms, and just about every night I have night terrors. My parents repeatedly scream at me and make me feel worthless.I'm a 16 year old girl by the way My mother has temper tantrums and acts like a 5 year old when she gets mad stomping her feet, yelling, and screMing almost to the point where she is in tears. My dad sides with her and backs her up. But they get mad at me alot more them my sister. They compare me to her even though she's younger and make me feel stupid I try talking to them about that and they tell me try harder. My dad on the other hand yells and points fingers but only in the past few years has he been hitting me. Restless Leg Syndrome?

A few months ago my legs started feeling very strange. The feeling is hard to describe. They feel restless, uncomfortable and I feel the urge to flex my muscles, stretch my legs and move them. They feel this way any time I am still. It feeling is almost unbearable. I did some research on RLS and my symptoms are similar, but RLS seems to occur only at night and my symptoms are all day long. I made a doctors appointment to figure out the problem. 3 days before the appointment, I began taking potassium water pills for swelling, and I noticed the feeling isn't near as bad. It has improved greatly in the past couple of days.The back of the bottle says "Potassium is essential for muscle activity and nerve transmissions." I wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or potassium really improved my condition. When I went to the doctor he diagnosed me with RLS. I tried to explain how the feeling improved when I took potassium, but he dismissed what I said and wrote me a prescription to treat RLS. I am really wondering if the feeling in my legs isn't due to some kind of Potassium deficiency. Could a potassium deficiency cause these symptoms?

How can I explain to my friend, she hurts my feelings when she never wants to see that side?

Okay, I have this long time friend of 7 years, and lately I have been branching out to find new friends, posting on "Facebook" and talking to her about the situation every now and then. Well I was honest and told her she has been hurting my feelings a lot lately, and I would like to figure out why so. Well now I'm being a "bad friend" and getting scolded for it. So at a last attempt to show I'm not being a bad friend and trying to work on my issues and life. I invited her to a 4th of July Celebration. Last year she had a good time, and she was more at ease then. This year after the fighting the bickering and hub bub, she asks me if I would be upset if she didn't come to the 4th of July Celebrations, because she was offered a free trip to Chicago. Well I was honest again and said "Of course I would be upset, I asked you months ago" however I was peaceful about it and said "Well once again my feelings are hurt, but, I'll get over it. Have Fun!!" since that she has not texted me back. So as usual, I have to be the one to give in. Other friends have told me she's not being much of a friend being so self-centered, which from their point of view that's all they see majority of the time. So I remain true and still invite her anyhow, not listening to the hub bub about her always being self-centered. I try to believe the best in her, and try to make exceptions. However I'm beginning to see that I need to draw the line somewhere, but, where???? If I don't sit and listen to her ramble for about 30 minutes to 4 hours about her problems I'm a bad friend, if I set out to find other friends and get the urge to hang out with them and not her I'm a bad friend. If I try to tell her about my problems and ask for her help with them, then I'm just plain annoying. When I don't invite her to parties, which I know she's going to bow out gracefully when something better comes up, I'm being rude and uncaring. It's almost like I'm just being tolerated. If I try to end the friendship she gets up set, if I take time out and take a breather and not text her for awhile or call her, then I'm ignoring her and being a self-centered snit. So I completely don't understand anymore, and need some serious help with the situation. Thanks in advance for any insight.

I went through the same bs with my ex, and I'm from texas too. I tried to file here, and even called an indian divorce lawyer, and she said that if he hasnt set foot in the US, then it's hard to file since the marriage isnt recognized in the states. So I had to go back to india and file for divorce. And, yes, in india she can file for divorce accusing him of his faults. I did this, and my divorce case took six months. He filed in kerala, india first, but due to his truancy, it got thrown out. he petitioned to re-open it six months later, and that's when I filed for divorce. As far as I know, his case is still pending, but mine is closed. I got the divorce based on cruelty. But of course, he never showed up to my hearings. I heard he barely showed up to his own...but I went to one of his hearings when I was in kerala and did see him. Anyway, turns out he didnt need a divorce or an annulment like we all think u need to wed in a church, because he got married b4 he got word the divorce was final. Our annulment is still pending; but he got married in the church anyway. That's indian justice for u. Aint life grand?!

I have all of the symptoms for insomnia, narcolepsy, RLS, circadian rhythms, and just about every night I have night terrors. Do I Have Restless Leg Syndrome? Please Help?

No matter what I do i can't stop moving my legs/feet/toes. I don't have pins and needles like with RLS. Flip Video camcorder (audio problem)?

True video camcorder microphones work good to about the 4 foot mark in a noisy environment, 6 feet in a quiet one. The flip is a useless camcorder, so I imagine the mini Mic on those cameras would only work to about 3 feet in a normal noise environment. No mic port, lots of editing, spend some cash and get a Digital Recorder, hook mics into it for better audio in your videos.

I have been there and the worse part is i went at mental hospital But for good i then recieving some help from social workers after i left hospital. They gives me full support and monthly i am talking with my spychiatrist. Who is very concern and supportive. I now have better view in life. no it sounds good. youll probably gain lots of muscle from ur work-out,but it might be good to cut out the cardio workout and the jogging or the sprinting. cut out only 2 of those things, but do NOT cut out the jump rope. jump rope is great for getting in shape. and ur meal plan is perfect. just be careful to not over-work urself.

Two Year Old Rat Terrier WETS ALL OVER! HELP!?

I have a Rat Terrier, Male, neutered at a young age. I got him as a puppy from the breeder and he has lived with us his whole two years so abuse is not a factor in the fact that he pees all over the place. He does not even know how to sit because if we attempt training he pees on our feet, when we greet him he pees, when he is scolded for peeing he pees, I can't even kick him off my bed or he will pee on my bed. He still stays in a kennel all day. We thought for a period that he was trained and we let him stay out during the day only to find that he began wetting all over again. He is let out often. He has a fenced yard to run and exercise in so he has ample opportunity to get the wet out. Even when we come home to let him out of his kennel he wets right out the doors. My kids love him and do not want him to go anywhere and I love him too but it is just getting to be too much. We have carpet and he is just destroying it. Is there any hope for this dog? What do I do?

Will using a normal 8 GB flash drive in an Xbox 360 Slim work?

Yes, that flash drive will work. I used to use that one for my old Xbox for more memory space. You can save anything on here except for games you install from disc, that doesn't mean arcade games, only full games. Extra map packs and other DLC will work, but when I used to use it I remember it used to make me lag on games. Because it has to read off of the USB and it is slower than reading of the Hard Drive or the built in 4GB in the 360. I notice you only asked if they make 20-40GB HDDs. The answer is yes, but they also have a 250GB for about the same as a 40GB HDD for the Xbox 360 Slim. It's not an official Xbox HDD, but it functions the same. My 2 1/2 year old niece is constantly taking attention away from my 1 1/2 year old daughter. What do I do?

I have been babysitting my niece since my daughter was 3 months old. She is used to being around me and my daughter, therefore, always getting only half of my attentions but it seems lately, since my daughter has been walking and talking (she is 18mo now), her cousin is iffy about her. She's not exactly mean but she's not exactly nice either. I watch another little girl who is only 2 months older than my duaghter and my niece gets along great with her. She holds her hands, asks her to "play" with her things like that, which, I might mention she NEVER does with her cousin. I try not to let it bother me but then she's also starting to act like a baby sometimes, or she'll go to play (sometimes she;ll run to get there first) with a toy as soon as my daughter looks at, or she'll take a toy my daughter was playing with if she drops it or sets it down for a second then parade it in front of her, it seems like almost to get her to take it from her (because no one is allowed to grab toys away from anyone in the house) so I will have to give my kid a time out. Which is another thing....she loves when my daughter gets in trouble (meaning I scold her or put her into timeout) and also loves to try and discipline and yell at her, which I always tell her to stop doing. I love my niece but its getting hard to keep watching her everyday when I sometimes want to just pay special attention to my daughter for even a minute and her cousin suddenly has to pee pee (shes starting potty training) or will suddenly need water or jump in front of my daughter and try to take the attention off of her. Ps- i do pay special attention to my niece as well. Usually she gets 20 minutes of just her & me everyday after the younger ones start their naps before she lays down for hers and besides that I don't know what else to do but its driving me crazy and I need advice on how to get it to stop. I've noticed very recently that more and more people shout abuse over the littlest of things. Now prongs are abuse, scolding your dog is abuse, leaving your dog outside for any amount of time is abuse. Don't get me wrong I would never scream in my dogs face and leave them outside but it seems like people are making things seem harsher than they are. I can't count how many times I have been told prongs are abuse which I used on my German Shepherd. Now I don't need one and he walks perfectly off leash because of it. Then there are the people who yell "bad dog" in public and some people want to assume they also beat the dog. It seems like more and more people are believing in "positive reinforcement" only now. Shoving a piece of chicken in a stranger aggressive dog isn't always going to train it. Why do you think anything but PR is being frowned on more and more lately? What do you consider dog abuse?
